ONLINE READING CLASSES
While in-person classes are strongly recommended, issues with location and scheduling is understandable. Hence this option!
Kinaesthetic learning is great for the wigglies!
Why Choose us?
Our reading method works!
Commonly, we have 5 - 6 year-old new kiddies who’ve attended brand name schools for years and still barely recognise a word. Within a month and a half, we have them proud of themselves for having completed Early Readers Books 1a and b, and mid way through Early Readers 2. That’s recognising about 30-40 new and unique common words!
Many kiddies come for the reading and (their siblings, and cousins, and friends) stay for the Life Lessons.
A Little About What you can expect
Sometimes our physical class kiddies get to peep in on our online class kiddies, while waiting to go home.
Convenient. Effective. Caring!
Within 2 years of half-hour online private lessons, your child will be a skilled, independent English language reader; more than ready to learn, explore worlds and go on adventures in all kinds of books of at least a Primary School level!
I strongly advise consistent attendance of 4x weekly classes for a period of time so your child experiences momentum building, and an ease and flow in skill-building. Each child is different however. Hence I’m flexible to monitor and adjust as necessary.
Or in Data Form…
Within slightly over 1 year’s time**, your child will know at least 216 different words. They would be able to read some early reader books, but would still be relatively unsteady. Within 2 and a half years, they would have finished the entire 24 books of the Ladybird Early Readers Key Words Reading Scheme, as well as have Phonics and Phonemic awareness skills.
*Data crunched from all the kids (4yrs and above) who had attended 4x weekly lessons with us over the decades. Some extra time given for using a new medium.
**We take a 3-week break at mid year, and another in December. The year includes these breaks.
